Indeed, you can reach Grand Hyatt from the lobby, or a throughway from Plaza Indonesia. If you want to go here from Plaza Indonesia, you can go to the door with the security on the GF near Mango or Sushi Tei. You can go by the stairs to the Grand Hyatt Jakarta's lobby. But you can also go there through an alley on the 2nd floor near the Atrium of Plaza Indonesia.

Premium marine harvest includes Oyster shucked to order, King Crab Legs, Tropical Lobsters to name a few.

Salad Station
Seafood Salad Nicoise Style, Roasted Beet Salad, Momotaro Tomato and Feta, House Smoked Salmon, Traditional Caesar Salad-Made to Order, Shaved Vegetable Salad.

Not only you can have your freshly made caesar salad, you can also asked the chef to make you a sautéed foie gras that served with mini bun. The Foie Gras screams for its freshness. The melt in your mouth sensation enliven my dining experience here. Such a wonderful thing to start your culinary journey at C's Steak & Seafood Restaurant.

Meat Station

For a meat lovers, you will be spoiled with carefully selected dishes from the grilled section such as Top Sirloin, Tenderloin, and Lamb Chops. Served with C's Steak & Seafood Restaurant Housemade Steak Sauce, Mushroom, and Red Wine sauce.

I really admire the interactive chefs that in charged on this station. They served the meat rare to medium rare. But the chefs will asked you if you want to cook the meats into your favorite doneness. All of the steak was juicy, tender and delicious. Complemented with 3 kind of dressings will make your steak perfect!

Side Dish Station
Garlic Roasted Baby Potatoes, Potato Puree, Truffle Mac & Cheese, Sauteed Forest Mushrooms, Season Vegetable.

You can find everything you want to be paired with your wonderful steak. But the most "must try item" is their Truffle Mac & Cheese. The all time favorite Mac & Cheese were lavished with the truffle oil scent and taste. Such a mesmerizing side dish in C's Steak & Seafood Restaurant.

Asian Food Station
Peking Duck & Dim Sum Peking Duck Pancakes Chili Leek Cucumber, C’s Assorted Housemade Dim Sum, Steamed Buns, Assorted Spring Rolls. Served with Traditional Sauces.

Too bad that my stomach was already full when I went to this station. I am apologize for not be able to review this station. But when I look at the dim sum, it was arranged neatly and looks stunning. Maybe next time, I will be back to try this station for sure!

Pastry & Dessert Station
Crepes Made to Order – Assorted Fillings and Toppings, Selection of Assorted Desserts and Pastries, Ice Cream & Sorbet Counter, Fresh Fruit on Ice.

There will be always a room for desserts, no matter if you already full. I am a biggest fans of Ice cream, and C's Steak & Seafood Restaurant know how to indulge me. On this dessert station,  gives you 12 kinds of Ice cream that you can choose to end your dining experience.

Yup 12!! 6 gelato and 6 sorbet wait for you to finished your main dish. Oh my goodness, C's Steak & Seafood Restaurant is not just a heaven for meat and seafood lover... But for an Ice cream lover too!

As an ode to Indonesia’s 70th independence anniversary, Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta partners with one of the country’s most celebrated chef, Petty Elliott, in showcasing authentic flavors presented with a modern take.


Food Writer, consultant and restaurant critic, Petty has been involved in promoting the flavours of Indonesia over the last 10 years since returning from living in the UK, where she participated in the BBC’s Masterchef competition. Championing modern Indonesian cuisine with international audiences, as well as reawakening interest at home, has been her passion. Petty writes regularly for The Jakarta Globe and Now! Jakarta magazine and previously also consulted as head contributor for Miele Guide, Asia’s Best restaurant Guide for 5 years.

A sense of place and innovative dining are values Mandarin Oriental pledges to create. Honoring the special Independence Day, an approach to feature the best undiscovered local favorites from different regions has been opted for Cinnamon, the hotel’s restaurant known for its delectable Indonesian cuisines.

With Indonesia being a vast country with many islands, Chef Thierry Le Quéau and Chef Petty Elliott select iconic local dishes, perhaps not always known by those living outside the region, and giving it a different spin; From Aceh - to Medan - to Padang, down to Java, crossing the sea to Bali, up to Maluku and on to Kalimantan.

I am very thrilled to be invited by Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta and to collaborate with Chef Thierry,” Petty said, “We look forward to feature different dishes from the many regions in Indonesia not many have explored.

"I am very delighted to be working with Chef Petty," says Executive Chef Thierry Le Quéau. "I have known her for years and I am very excited to share her passion for Indonesian cuisines."

Highlights include; Gohu Ikan – a dish of tuna sashimi with chilli and basil salsa from Maluku, Rujak Buah – Cinnamon’s own Javanese fruit salad, Sie Itek - duck curry from Aceh, Sate Udang Rica-Rica – Manado’s prawn satay with its famed sambal rica-rica, Arsik – the special Tapanuli style braised barramundi with ginger flower, Mie Ayam - Jakarta’s favourite bowl of noodles and chicken soup, and Konro – Cinnamon’s signature dish of slow braised beef hailed from Makassar.

Making things more exciting, Chef Thierry and Chef Petty have collaborated in creating a signature dessert that combines an iconic French sweets with Indonesian flavour; Mille-feuille Kolak Pisang. The mille-feuille will be layered with palm sugar spread, coconut jam and mousse, banana pureed with cinnamon, and chopped cashew. A deconstruction of Indonesia’s well-loved dessert, it is a play of authentic ingredients and flavours weaved into layers of pastry goodness. Mille-feuille Kolak Pisang is priced at IDR50,000+ and will be available at The Mandarin Cake Shop for one month.


Let me introduce you to Mille-feuille Kolak Pisang from the result of the collaboration between french and Indonesia. 

Actually, mille-feuille is one of my favorite desserts.. yup. I really love the crunchy texture of puff pastry that combined beautifully with vanilla custard. But after I have tasted this beautiful and aromatic mille-feuille... I want it more and more!

Beautiful aroma from palm sugar, combined beautifully with cinnamon. Sometimes, banana and coconut milk can be overwhelming and add heavy texture to dish. But this mille-feuille still has its fluffiness and light consistency.
Taste the indulging sensation of Kolak pisang in a shape of mille-feuille from Mandarin Oriental Jakarta.

I still remember when I went to Fairmont Jakarta for the first time. Yup, it was 21st January 2015, when Fairmont Jakarta soft opened. You can read the news and their milestone HERE.

Standing tall at Senayan Square complex, South Jakarta, Fairmont Jakarta celebrates its grand opening on 6th August 2015, with a special evening marked with cocktails, an exclusive dinner and a special performance by Indonesia’s famous pop singer, Agnes Monica in the hotel’s beautiful Grand Ballroom.

But before that, Fairmont Jakarta has successfully amazed their guests with soulful and mystical play from Japanese taiko and Yokobue  that collaborated beautifully with warm and cheerfulness Jegog from Bali. Supported with gorgeous visual play really enliven the atmosphere.

Fairmont Jakarta's grand opening also marks the debut of newly opened facilities, making the luxury hotel the top lifestyle and entertainment center in Jakarta. The new offerings include the hotel’s stately Presidential Suite and Signature Suites on the top floor as well as an array of dining and hangout outlets. These follow the existing range of guest-rooms and Sky Suites, the all-day-dining restaurant, as well as Willow Stream spa and fitness center.
