BEAU

BEAU by Talita Setyadi - Plaza Indonesia

4/29/2015 Soya Yanagawa 2 Comments

I would like to say, my warmest congratulations on Talita Setyadi's new bakery opening, BEAU at Plaza Indonesia.

Before I story-tells you about BEAU, I have confessions to make. I am a big fan of Talita. I first know about her name from "Talita's Kitchen", a food blog journal. From there, I have found that actually she's a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Double Bass from the University of Auckland. She once has3 a trio named Tea Cups with her two best friends. Well, I have found a youtube video about this Trio.

My first meeting with Talita Setyadi was at Pecha Kucha Night Jakarta Vol.18. When I know that she will be one of the speaker, I am so excited that I can meet her on the flesh. Back then, I was amazed with her presentation about "Jazz Desserts". One slide that give me a mesmerizing moment is a quote from Charlie Parker.

"master your instrument, master the music
and than forget that all and just play."
- Charlie Parker -

Needless to say, that quotes answered all of the hows and whys Talita went trance when she is cooking or playing her double bass.

Located at the basement level Plaza Indonesia, indulge yourself with BEAU's delicacies that inspired by Talita's  travels and various sojourns in Australia, Europe and the US. As the first bakery project, BEAU's outlet actually is not really spacious. But on that tiny outlet, you will be wowed with BEAU's collection of entremetspâtisserie, viennoiserie, breads, croissant, bombos, and homemade jams.

To be noted, BEAU focuses on producing artisan bread and pastries of high quality; using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Without any further, lets talk about their pastry

Salted Caramel Cruffin IDR 40,000
Butter Croissant, salted caramel creme pâtissière

BEAU's Salted Caramel Cruffin is one of a croissant that I can hardly wait to eat it. The cruffin (croissant muffin) looks so humble with golden brown exterior and powdered sugar sprinkle. But wait until you take a bite.

It just like a bomb of textures, so rich and beautiful. Really love the combination between the flaky croissant and velvety custard. It explodes in your mouth and gives you a foodgasm.

You can smell a wonderful buttery scent and taste a pampering sweetness from the salted caramel custard. Sometimes, caramel's sweetness can be found overwhelming, but not on this custard. It taste really elegant with a beautiful salty pinch.

Lemon Pound Cake & Chocolate Pound Cake IDR 35,000

I adore this pound cake. The most indulging part from this pound cakes is their textures. The texture was quite dense, but it still has its moisture.

I really like The Lemon Pund Cake. The tangy lemon taste blend beautifully and softened with the vanilla pound cake. Really love the candied citrus peel that enrich the textures. But unfortunately, the lemon icing is a little bit too sweet for me.

But the chocolate pound cake was incredible! taste delish and really indulging.

Bombos IDR35,000
Brioche doughnut with lemon zest, batch-fried in coconut oil, various fillings

For my opinion, I really love how BEAU presented their bread and pastry. All of them looks so stunning with a humble appearance, yet with a fascinating taste and charming textures. Just like this Bombos. It looks so humble but wait until you eat it. BEAU generously give the delicious filling.

The texture from the brioche was soft and marvelous, combined with creamy and indulging chocolate filling, really made my day.

Astrid IDR 50,000
White Chocolate Brownie, pistachio crunch, raspberry cremeux, raspberry jelly, pistacio dacquise, yoghurt & white chocolate mousse, white chocolate glaze, freeze dried raspberries, toasted pistachio

This is BEAU's signature entremet. Well, for starters, here is a fun fact about entremet.

-------------------------------
FUN FACT
-------------------------------
An entremet (or entremets, from Old French, literally meaning "between servings") is in modern French cuisine a small dish served between courses or simply a dessert. Originally it was an elaborate form of entertainment dish common among the nobility and upper middle class in Europe during the later part of the Middle Ages and the early modern period. An entremet marked the end of a serving of courses and could be anything from a simple frumenty (a type of wheat porridge) that was brightly colored and flavored with exotic and expensive spices to elaborate models of castles complete with wine fountains, musicians, and food modeled into allegorical scenes. By the end of the Middle Ages, it had evolved almost entirely into dinner entertainment in the form of inedible ornaments or acted performances, often packed with symbolism of power and regality. In English it was more commonly known as a subtlety (also sotelty or soteltie) and did not include acted entertainment.
For modern pastry chefs, an entremet is a multi-layered mousse-based cake with various complementary flavors and varying textural contrasts.

I really admire Talita's edible handcraft. A beautiful multi-layered cake with a dazzling colors called Astrid become my choice for the closure. Its neat and pretty appearance really makes hard to eat it.

It taste really expensive and grande. On this layered cake, you will find layers of textures and flavors. It was so deep and really jaw-dropping. Sweet from the white chocolate, savory from the pistachio and sour from the raspberry were harmoniously sing along with the wonderful symphony of textures. Amazingly the pistachio and raspberry complementing each other with the help of the white chocolate mousse. such an unforgettable dish from BEAU

Without any doubt, Astrid is worthy enough to become a BEAU's entremet masterpiece.

C's Steak & Grill,

C's Steak & Seafood - Grand Hyatt

4/23/2015 Soya Yanagawa 0 Comments

To be honest, I am very grateful and feel blessed every time I was invited to a food tasting event. Feel grateful because my opinion seems to count. Feel blessed because I can taste the new menu before everyone else can.

Today, I will tell you about a wonderful place named C's Steak & Seafood restaurant. It was derived from the endless possible words starting with the word 'C'.

Located at the 4th floor on Grand Hyatt Jakarta, C'S Steak & Seafood offers you a food journey from the finest choice of Australian and US, through the freshest selection of seafood. With an extensive 3,000 bottles of wine that greets you to their elegant and classy restaurant, without any doubt C'S Steak & Seafood is also a heaven for wine connoisseurs.

Encourage yourself to be amazed with their eight fish tanks that ensure all the seafood meets the highest quality standard before being prepared. You can enjoy your meal while watching the chefs doing their work through an open kitchen, or you can choose to enjoy it more intimate right next the mini waterfall.

To find their outstanding menu and price range, you can check it right HERE
Well, here is my review for their new menu:

CRAB
smoked trout roe, uni, lemon, violas.

in a humble presentation, you will find a very not humble ingredients at all on this dish. You can find a fat chunks of crab meat that wonderfully cooked and seasoned mixed together with shredded radish, trout roe and uni. By adding a tangy lemon, all of the ingredients combined beautifully.

The crab was perfectly cooked. It still has a wonderful moist and beautiful taste that really indulging you to the fullest. While the smoked trout roe giving you a popping-bubble sensation with its expensive taste, the radish adds some crunchy texture on the dish. The violas actually add some color to the dish and make it a little bit more expensively elegant.

SWEETBREADS
mac and cheese, white asparagus, morel ravigote.

Sweet-savory and moist macaroni & cheese are topped with the deep fried sweetbreads (pancreas), pan seared asparagus, morel and ravigote sauce. Actually, I really love the sweetbread. It has crunchy exterior with moist and chewy interior. It has sweet taste and unique scent. Indeed, some people might find sweetbread a little bit fishy, but actually, that is the unique scent and aftertaste.

The dish has a beautiful combination of sweet, savory and sour. The asparagus enrich this beautifully seasoned and carefully prepared dish with its crunchy textures.

45 DAY DRY AGED GALICIAN STRIPLOIN
confit potato, roasted carrot, house made steak sauce.

Ok, let me enlighten you the "45 Days dry aged strip loin."
(actually, I took it from Wikipedia)

DRY AGED BEEF
Dry-aged beef is beef that has been hung or placed on a rack to dry for several weeks. After the animal is slaughtered and cleaned, either the entire or half will be hung. Primal (large distinct sections) or sub primal cuts strip loins, rib eyes and sirloin are placed in a refrigerator unit, also known as a "hot box". This process involves considerable expense, as the beef must be stored near freezing temperatures. Subprimal cuts can be dry aged on racks either in specially climate-controlled coolers or within a moisture-permeable drybag. Moreover, only the higher grades of meat can be dry aged, as the process requires meat with a large, evenly distributed fat content. Because of this, dry-aged beef is seldom available outside of steak restaurants and upscale butcher shops or groceries. The key effect of dry aging is the concentration and saturation of the natural flavour, as well as the tenderization of the meat texture.
The process changes beef by two means. Firstly, moisture is evaporated from the muscle. This creates a greater concentration of beef flavour and taste. Secondly, the beef’s natural enzymes break down the connective tissue in the muscle, which leads to more tender beef.
For a wonderful meat that has been dry aged for 45 days, you do not need to use a lot of seasoning. The meat itself has rich flavor and delicious taste. It was served with home made steak house, roasted carrot, confit potato and butternut squash puree.

They cooked the meat beautifully. You can see the raw red color from the inside, and dark brown on the outside. I thought that it was sous vide and then grilled it for the brownish exterior. I think that it was sous vide because you can see the raw look meat in the interior, but please... correct me if i am wrong.

The meat has a strong and mature taste, that combined beautifully with their home made steak house. The yam puree adds some sweetness, just like the carrot add some texture on the dish. Really a must try item.

EPOISSE
red wine apple butter, granola, norlander.

Époisses de Bourgogne is a cheese made in the village Époisses, which is in the département of Côte-d'Or in France. It is located around halfway between Dijon and Auxerre. Commonly referred to as Époisses, it is a pungent unpasteurised cows-milk cheese.

The cheese itself has a very pungent aroma just like blue cheese. But the the red wine apple butter neutralized the odor and complementing with the richness of flavor. You can taste a very diverse taste from each and evry ingredients, but all of them were beautifully combined and really delicious. The granola and norlander add some texture on the dish and makes it perfect.

C'S HOUSE MADE "SMORES"

Sorry to say, the presentation was not really appealing. Melted and torched marshmallow was put side by side with chocolate mousse and sprinkled with crunchy nuts. Actually, I am not a bigest fan of marshmallow. It has overpowering sweetness and the texture is not really nice. But on this C’s house made “smores” the sweetness is not overpowering the dishes. in fact, it was complementing the bitter chocolate mousse. Just like yin and yang, they were beautifully synchronized and give a wonderful cleansing taste for your palate.

Really a mesmerizing experience, where I can sit, enjoy wine and food, and get to know more with everybody on this event. Thank you so much for inviting me to this wonderful event.

have a great day and Godspeed

Gaia Tea Cakes

Gaia Tea & Cakes - Kemang

4/20/2015 Soya Yanagawa 0 Comments

Indonesia is known for its archipelago. It is a country of diversity, a constellation of more than 14,000 islands that spread over 3,100 miles. A country that enriched with a numerous ethnicities, and languages, customs, and cultures. But today, let us talked about Indonesian Tea.

Tea is one of the world's most consumed beverages. It is thought to originate from China where tea has been drunk for thousands of years. Around the 16th century, when the Portuguese were expanding their power, this beverage was imported to Europe and quickly gained popularity. But do you know that Indonesia is the eighth-largest producer of tea worldwide.

Well, I might not a tea expert / specialist, I have just learnt that there are six main types of tea, which are: Black Tea, Green Tea, White Tea, Yellow Tea, Oolong, and pu-erh. All of them come from the same plant family-Camellia sinensis.

It is kind a hard to find a place that serve a diverse collection of tea in Indonesia. But Luckily, there is Gaia Tea & Cakes at Kemang area. Gaia Tea & Cakes was born to provide the very best tea products of Indonesia. They believe that many of tea selections produced in our country has excellent qualities – their flavor, aroma and efficacy for health are among the top in the world. Their tea collection is originated from best tea plantations all over Indonesia. Well, here is a fun fact about Gaia Tea & Cakes:

GAIA TEA & CAKES
All of Gaia teas are curated by Ratna Somantri, who is known as the author of ‘Kisah&KhasiatTeh’ and ‘The Story in A Cup of Tea’. Ratna is a tea specialist which has served as an active speaker in various tea events for the last 8 years. She has travelled many countries to visit and learn from experts and plantations owners to deepen her knowledge about this vast and exciting subject.
The tea that is used in Gaia is picked from the best season bud leaves. These particular pieces are considered as the “work of art” of tea. They are treated with special care throughout series of delicate processes. These categories are produced in a limited quantity and they have only been made available for export market.

When I stepped my feet into this place, I just thought that Ratna Soemantri has successfully brought the Tea Culture into a very fancy and luxurious place. The outlet was beautifully prepared and made with a touch of elegance and attention. Indeed, the outlet is not very spacious. But They successfully make it comfortable and pleasurable.

To be noted, if you ordered tea at Gaia Tea & Cakes, you will be amazed with the presentation. Gaia Tea & Cakes will prepared your tea on a very posh and beautiful pot and ceramic. Along with the pot and the mug, they will give you a timer to tell you the perfect time to pour your tea and enjoy it.

West Java Oriental Green Tea IDR 34,000
This is an organic green tea from a tea plantation in Cianjur, West Java. Processed from selected 1 bud and 2 young leaves only, the dry leaves look very beautiful. This is a very unique green tea, sweet and fragrant.

Indonesia is the top 4 of green Tea production, after China, Japan and Vietnam. Green tea is made from the leaves from Camellia sinensis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing. Green tea originated in China, but it has become associated with many cultures throughout Asia. Green tea has recently become relatively widespread in the West where black tea has been the traditionally consumed tea.

Many claims have been made for the beneficial health effects of green tea consumption, but they have generally not been borne out by scientific investigation; excessive consumption is associated with some harmful health effects but moderate, regular consumption is safe.

Actually, I really love this West Java Oriental Tea. Indeed, it has an unique hint of burnt taste, but after you swallow it, it leaves a beautiful sweet aftertaste with a hint of dry sensation. It taste earthy and wonderful.

It has medium fragrant and the texture is light, thin and cleansing.

West Java Silver Needles IDR 45,000
Made only from highest quality of young tea buds which represent only about 2% in production quantity. The leaves are uniquely beautiful and silver tipped exuding royalty and an exceptional soft, smooth, sweet-silky luxuriousness. The lingering fragrance is delicately floral, with a freshness and sweetness of a ripped pear. Refreshing texture that is soft and airy on the palate. It is one of a kind and highly prized by connoisseurs, it has the least amount of process than any other tea and is full of rich antioxidants.

White tea is a lightly oxidized tea grown and harvested primarily in China, mostly in the Fujian province. White tea comes from the buds and leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. The leaves and buds are allowed to wither and dry in natural sun.

The name "white tea" derives from the fine silvery-white hairs on the unopened buds of the tea plant, which gives the plant a whitish appearance. The beverage itself is not white or colorless but pale yellow, light to the taste, and is free shaped.

When you smell the tea, it showered your nose with floral and sweet scent. The texture taste "milky thick" or velvety; Little bit thicker that the green tea. The taste is wonderful; It gives your tastebud a romance and sweetness. Such a mesmerizing tea.

Matcha Fries
French Fries with Matcha Seasoning.

A stack of golden-ish brown french fries looks so contrast with the green matcha powder sprinkled on top. It spread the calming and beautiful scent of matcha when you take a sniff. The matcha adds some grainy texture and bitterness to the fries, but surprisingly it was complementing the french fries. Quite nice and a wonderful choice to enliven your tea party at Gaia Tea & Cakes.

Bluder IDR 12,000
A nostalgic and famous cake-bread from Madiun. Soft, moist and buttery. With a hind of sourness from tape as the secret ingredient in bluder

The texture was marvelous, really nostalgic and longing. It has a beautiful sensation between sweet, savory and sourness. they were binding each other and makes a beautiful and harmonious symphony on your tastebud. Such a wonderful friend to accompanying you with your tea.

Carrot Cupcake

This carrot cupcake has a cute size and humble appearance. But I really love the texture. It has wonderful moist and fluffy texture, great taste and pampering fragrant. The cream cheese add some lingering sweet and savory taste on your palate. One is not enough for me.

Actually, when I went to Gaia Tea & Cakes, they have a lot of unprepared dish. From 8 kinds of tea, they only have 3 kinds of tea that ready to serve. All of the cakes are unavailable, they only have bluder and carrot cupcake. Actually, I really love this place. It has wonderful ambiance and marvelous tea. Will be back for sure, and hopefully they already fixed the menu and be more prepare.

Well, have a great day and Godspeed!

PIZZA EXPRESS

Pizza Express is one of the most famous pizza restaurant in Indonesia. this will be my seccond place that I have visited for reviewing Lippo Mall Kemang. Located on the upper ground level of Lippo Mall Kemang, this 50 years experienced pizza restaurant are waiting for your visit. Here is a brief about Pizza Express:

It was all started from the love of Peter Boizot to Pizza. Pursuing his obsession, he travels to many city and many places and find out that there is no great pizza can be found on London. On 1965, Wardour Street, Pizza Express was launched.
Later on 1967 he met with Enzo Apicella, an amazing artist and visionary designer. Both of them shared passions and decided to give stunning design, unique experiences and exceptional food. Decades later, those passions still inspire us. Particularly when we shake things up. Because knowing where you come from is the best possible guide to where you should go next. And 47 years later Pizza Express still embodies those principles – all across the world.

Melanzanine IDR 30,000
A mini al forno dish of layered aubergine, passata, mozzarella, béchamel. garlic, basil and grana padano

Actually I really love the presentation. It looks so humble yet beautiful. When you opened the lid, you will see white béchamel sauce with red tomato sauce or passata. with basil leaf on the top, really contrast and appetizing. I really love the eggplant (aubergine), it seasoned beautiful and perfectly cooked. Actually, if you want it, you can pair it with Bruschetta Originale "Pizza Express" IDR 32,000 to add some texture and fragrant

Carbonara Pizza IDR105,000
Beef bacon, garlic oil, mozzarella and grana padano cheese on a béchamel base with a free-range egg in the center, served with fresh parsley and grana padano cheese.

Different from the others, this carbonara pizza use béchamel sauce as the base. Topped with colorful ingredients, makes this pizza looks elegance and stunning. For the taste, it was mild, creamy and indulging. The textures were beautiful and the egg really add some texture and taste for the pizza. The sweet beef bacon perfected it!

COCA SUKI
-----------------------------------------

The third place is COCA Suki. Located on the Upper Ground Floor, with easy access to The Avenue of The Stars, this Suki Restaurant has a very great location and quite promising. But, do you know that COCA Suki actually a Thai-Chinese Restaurant? Well, here is their brief of history:

is our slogan to define COCA’s food. With “Simple” ingredient but made into delicious dishes with less salt, oil and no MSG. “Healthy” with nutritional value that are organic or hormone free. And finally “Lively” tastes with utilization of fresh Thai herbs and relax atmosphere in each location so all can enjoy.

COCA Restaurants began as a humble 20 seat Cantonese restaurant in 1957. Within a year it moved to its still standing location on Surawongse Road with 500 seats and opened a second location at Siam Square and much to the surprise the 800 seat restaurant was packed to its full capacity from opening day onwards.

Now becoming an International Restaurant Group name Coca Group of Restaurant expanded and diversified to Multi-Restaurant concepts, Coca Foods factory, and Exquisine System Co.,Ltd. Currently 3 generations later and always innovating the dining experience.

In Thailand COCA is famous known as the first success “Suki” hot pot restaurant brand and overseas there’re 30 locations in 10 countries world wide!

My recommended dish here is their SET LUNCH. Well, When I went there, they served me with their Set Lunch B

SET LUNCH B
IDR 95,000
Fresh Squid | Tofu | Fish Glue | Chinese Cabbage | Shrimp Ball | Pocai |Rolled Fish
Morning Glory | Shrimp Wonton | Lettuce | Chicken Fillet | Rice | Local Beef | Mix Fruits

Actually this set lunch was intended for personal portion. But I really amazed with the size.. So huge and overwhelming. For the broth, you can choose between chicken broth or tom yam. But if you can choose both and they will served it with the pan that have divider.

What makes COCA Suki different from the other,? well, actually there are 2 things that makes COCA Suki stand out from the others. First you have to check their Tom Yum soup. I often found a thick and has bold sour taste from Tom Yum Soup, but at COCA Suki, the tom yum soup has a moderate thickness and the taste really suit for my palate.

The second thing that I have found at COCA Suki is their AWESOME homemade dipping sauce!

Their dipping sauce has a thick and strong flavour. Indeed, I can taste a lot of spices on this dipping sauce. But the most surprising good is, the aftertaste will give you a nice kick of heat. The sauce really compliment the dishes, really add some luxurious and grandis.

Coconut Punch IDR 30,000
I really love the collaboration between the orange and the coconut. It really mixed well and complementing each other. Added with the mild and sweet banana syrup really make this dish into one step higher of freshness.

Thai Ice Tea IDR 24,000
Sometimes, Thai Ice Tea can be so thick and overwhelming. But not the Thai Ice Tea from COCA Suki. It has a very wonderful thickness and flavour. The milk and the tea mixed beautifully and complementing each other. the sweetness was perfect! Really suit for my palate and taste delicious.

My experience at COCA Suki was quite mesmerising. On the Set Lunch Menu, they give us mixed fruits as dessert. Really love the food, ambience and their services. Will come back for sure!

-----------------------------------------
KILLINEY
-----------------------------------------

Killiney Kopitiam become my fourth place to visit. Located at The Avenue of The Stars, Upper Ground level. Actually, I really love the environment. It has a very warm vibe and very beautiful ambience. Well, here is their brief:

Located along the busy streets of Killiney Road, the existing shop front was founded in late 1919. Back then, while it was an antiquated yet humble shop, its famous bread toast and warm beverages was popular among many people. Though it was just an ordinary Hainanese Kopitiam, it promised well-brewed coffee and tea, not to mention traditional charcoal-grilled bread toast. Mr. Woon, a regular customer of the shop, loved it so much that he wished to own it. In 1993, the dream became reality when he finally bought the shop, renovated it and renamed it 'Killiney Kopitiam'.
When T.S. Woon took over the reins of management, he believed that it was crucial to uphold the legacy. Despite major renovations to the shop front, the present coffee shop retains the traditional working style and influence. A key factor, for which he is very grateful, lies in the three workers who have stayed on and helped him, by means of passing on their skills in making good kaya, bread toast, coffee and tea. His idea is to preserve traditional Hainanese food in Singapore, which is, sadly, slowly disappearing from the market.
The Company's growth has been progressive over the past decade and with the strong and loyal support from our patrons, we have evolved into a strongly identifiable local brand and icon. In addition, we have also unwittingly created a strong following among local coffee aficionados and the breakfast club. Today, Killiney Kopitiam has an extended menu offering a wider variety of local delicacies. We have also expanded to other parts of Singapore so as to be closer to you, our valued customer.

Singapore Laksa Fried Rice IDR 30,454

Actually, when I went there, I asked them to recommend me their signature dishes. They offered me to try their Singapore Laksa Fried Rice. The Singapore Laksa Fried Rice was served with pickle, chicken fillet, and sunny side egg. For me, the fried rice taste so-so. It was an average fried rice. But the deep fried chicken fillet taste wonderful and really add some luxurious on the dish. Sweet and savoury mixed beautifully and the textures were superb! Crunchy from the outside, soft and moist on the inside.

Funny thing happened, when I told them about my valuation, they said that they have run out their laksa seasoning, so they used ordinary seasoning for the fried rice. Kind a funny, how can I review their dish? I asked them to give me their best dishes and they were the one who recommend me the dish. That is why I can only evaluating the chicken fillet.

SPICERACK
-----------------------------------------

What is the different between Go Curry and Spicerack? Well, actually they came from the same company. But Spicerack has a wider range of curry collections, and their make it a little bit more mature and posh than Go Curry. I really love the lamps. looks so rustic and beautiful. Kind a romantic and makes me want to stay there longer.

Well, lets talk about their food:

First, you can choose the curry that really suit for you. You can choose brown curry from Japan, Yellow Curry from India and many more. You can asked the server to help you to find the curry that suits your palate. For me, the Rogan Josh is kinda interesting.

- FUN FACT -
Rogan josh, is an aromatic lamb dish of Persian origin, which is one of the signature recipes of Kashmiri cuisine. Roughan (روغن) means "clarified butter" or "fat" in Persian, while juš (جوش), gives the figurative meaning of "intensity" or "passion" and ultimately derives from the verb jušidan (جوشيدن) meaning "to heat". Rogan josh thus means cooked in oil at intense heat. Another interpretation of the name rogan josh is derived from the word rogan meaning "red color" (the same Indo-European root that is the source of the French "rouge" and the Spanish "rojo") and josh meaning passion or heat.
Rogan josh was brought to Kashmir by the Mughals, whose cuisine was in turn influenced by Persian cuisine. The unrelenting summer heat of the Indian plains took the Mughals frequently to Kashmir, which has a cooler climate because of its elevation and latitude.

Next, choose your spiciness. You can choose the level from Mild - Medium - Hot - Very Hot - Insanely Hot. So you better choose the level of spiciness wisely.

The Last and the third step is choose your topping. You better matched the topping with the curry that you have choose. But you can play with your creativity to mix-matched the curry and the protein. But for me, the rogan josh was perfectly matched with lambs. (IDR 118,000)

The fourth step is to choose the side dish. Whether you want to enjoy your curry with rice or canna.  Canna (IDR 20,000) is perfect for sharing, but if you want to eat your curry by yourself, I really recommend you to add Cilantro Butter Rice (IDR 33,000).

The cilantro Butter Rice has exotic fragrant and mild taste. For me, it taste really exquisite if you mixed it with the curry. It was a perfect match for the curry, they were complimenting each other.

Strawberry Lassy IDR 32,000

Another perfect pairing for the curry is with Lassy. Lassy is a beverage that use yoghurt as its base. The sourness will wash all the spiciness and herby taste on your mouth. Mixed with pieces of strawberry, will give you a refreshing sensation.

MOMI & TOYS
-----------------------------------------

My last visit will be a dessert station on 3rd Level, named Momi & Toy's. But do you know what makes Momi & Toy's is different from the others? Well, Their uniqueness was right at their crepes. Usually, crepes are made of flour and eggs, but Kawakami adds almond powder to the batter, which makes the torokeru crepe very soft and easily melts in your mouth.

Another unique thing about the crepe is that it is freshly baked on a flat iron pan for only 10 seconds.

I really love the coziness and homey ambiance that Momi & Toy's served for their customers. Really a nice place to hang out with your beloved family or friends.

Black & White IDR 72,000
3 Rolled crepes of Nutella, Skippy, and Toblerone, Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Sauce, Cocoa Powder, Powder Sugar, Almond, Crunch.

Beware with this triple threats that will knock you down with their delicacies. Because on this Black & White, you will be indulged with Nutella, Skippy, and Toblerone.

I really adore this 3 combo. The crepe and the cream are not overwhelming. With the perfect thickness and perfect amount will make your dining experience at Momi & Toy's unforgettable. The whipped cream is very tasty and light with a hint of sweetness. For your information, the whipped cream is freshly made everyday using imported cream from France and collagen, which adds a smoother texture. Combined with Nutella, Skippy and Toblerone that had their own characteristic and uniqueness, the crepes taste so delicious and mouthwatering every time i think about the dish. Complemented with Vanilla Ice Cream makes the dish become perfect and really addicting.
