I feel so blessed when I got the invitation from Keraton at The Plaza's Digital Marketing Manager, Eka Darma Putra to experience their new promo once again. You might already know about Keraton Lounge, since i already post my review for their GODIVA Allure High Tea. But now, Keraton at The Plaza introduces its lounge to a newly tantalizing sustainability named "Beyond Oyster and Champagne" every friday, starts from 18.00 - 21.00.

Located at the lobby of Keraton at The Plaza, Keraton Lounge will indulge you with their infinite pleasure of bottomless champagne and luscious Oysters, Alaskan King Crab pairing with fresh and succulent Jumbo Shrimps

Keraton Lounge is the perfect place to pampering yourself with sumptuousness after your hard work. Their contemporary ambiance was buoyed with their high ceiling and beautifully decorated environment, it makes Keraton lounge looks so posh and luxurious but also comfortable and relaxing.

The Oyster on "Beyond Oyster & Champagne" Keraton Lounge was freshly imported from France. The oyster itself is a grade two. Grades from oyster indicates their size; the smaller the grade number, the bigger the oyster.

Keraton Lounge's seafood combination was served with 3 kind of dressings; tomato sauce, mustard, red wine sauce. For you who cannot eat raw oyster, Keraton Lounge will serve you the baked Oyster with spinach and hollandaise sauce.

Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve NV Champagne

Champagne is produced from grapes grown in the Champagne region of France following rules that demand secondary fermentation of the wine in the bottle to create carbonation. In some countries, champagne is often to be called as sparkling wine. The primary grapes used in the production of Champagne are Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.

Why Billecart - Salmon?
The name was founded in 1818 with the marriage of Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon.

What is Brut?
It was indicate the sweetness level of the champagne.
To describe the sweetness of the bottled champagne, they often to use with this kind of terms:

  • Extra Brut (less than 6 grams of residual sugar per liter)
  • Brut (less than 12 grams)
  • Extra Dry (between 12 and 17 grams)
  • Sec (between 17 and 32 grams)
  • Demi-sec (between 32 and 50 grams)
  • Doux (50 grams)

The most common style today is Brut, although throughout the 19th century and into the early 20th century Champagne was generally much sweeter than it is today.

What is Reserve NV?
Reserve wine is a term given to a specific wine to imply that is of a higher quality than usual. usually, the winemaker would  "reserve" some of their best wine. So to make it short, reserve is a wine that has been aged before being sold, or both.

In the NV Champagne or  "Non Vintage" Champagne, a certain amount of aged still wine is used for blending with still wine of the youngest vintage, before this blended base wine undergoes second fermentation in bottle to become sparkling Champagne. This aged still wine is called reserve wine, and this practice is meant to ensure that a certain Champagne house's non-vintage product has a consistent style over the years.

The appearance of Billecart-salmon Brut Reserve is yellow pale colour, and consists of only slowly rising bubbles. The scent, you will detect a mature aroma of fresh fruit and ripe pears with a floral freshness. The Billecart Brut Reserve is a light, fine and harmonious champagne. Billecart Brut Reserve and the oysters pair well together.

Note: Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve has 12%ABV (Alcohol by Volume) so, drink wisely!
